University of Hawaiʻi President Wendy Hensel will host a second open, live-streamed forum on Monday, April 21 from 3 to 4 p.m. at the ÃÛÌÇÖ±²¥ ²Ñ¨¡²Ô´Ç²¹ Campus Center Ballroom. The forum aims to provide an update on the impact of ongoing federal policy changes and the university’s response.
The event will begin with a brief presentation by Hensel, followed by a question-and-answer session. Questions will be taken from both in-person attendees and virtual participants to encourage wide participation across the ÃÛÌÇÖ±²¥ System¡¯s 10 campuses.
“We continue to see policy changes and directives coming at a rapid clip from Washington,” said Hensel. “It is important to keep the conversation going with our community, share what we know, and outline the steps we¡¯re taking to safeguard our students and the university.”

Hensel held her first forum on March 13, following a series of executive orders and federal directives from the new administration that signaled significant shifts in higher education policy. The April 21 event offers a second opportunity for ÃÛÌÇÖ±²¥ students, faculty, and staff to hear directly from the president and ask questions about what lies ahead.
