Upgrade to Windows 11
Microsoft will end support for Windows 10 on October 14, 2025 and will no longer provide software updates, technical assistance, and security updates for Windows 10 after that date.
As a result, ITS will be ending support for Windows 10 on September 30, 2025. ITS recommends that أغجاض±²¥ users with Windows 10 devices migrate to Windows 11 before this date. Running an unsupported, unpatched operating system (OS) is a security risk to all users and devices on the أغجاض±²¥ network. This article will provide instruction on how to upgrade a licensed Windows 10 device to Windows 11 for free.
Instructions to Upgrade to Windows 11
- Download the Windows PC Health Check app to check your device’s compatibility for Windows 11 at
- This will download a file called WindowsPCHealthCheckSetup.msi. Open the file.
- The PC Health Check app will open, press Check now to run the compatibility check.
- If your device is compatible, a prompt informing you that “This PC meets Windows 11 requirements” will be displayed. Proceed to step 5 if your device is eligible for an upgrade.
- Download the Windows 11 Installation Assistant from Microsoft at
- This will download a file called Windows11InstallationAssistant.exe. Open the file.
- Click Yes at the “Do you want to allow this app to make changes to your device” prompt.
- Click Accept and Install.
- Wait for the Windows 11 installation to finish. Click Restart Now when prompted.
- Your device may restart multiple times during the final installation process. Your device will boot into Windows 11 once the upgrade is complete.
